Week 5 (part 1): Meeting all togather!

Sunday January 14th

Dana:

"So finally the whole group met together, I was really excited. It's very strange to work only through zoom until now, but it's better than nothing, especially since I'm in the reserves and it's important for me to connect with the group and the research topic.

So... hugs with everyone and straight to the point - each group presented in class the research they have done so far, which is the domain, the persona, challenges of the user and HMW.

Liel and I (Dana) presented the presentation!

One good thing we did, in my opinion, is that we introduced Ruthie - our persona, but we didn't focus only on "dry" details about her, but presented a scenario in which Ruthie encounters difficulty and frustration as soon as she has to pay her electricity bill, and her daughter describes a supposedly "easy" situation to pay, but it's completely new for Ruthie.

We also presented quotes from the interviews we conducted, we saw that it is a bit difficult for us to focus on the insecurity of the elders, or is it related to loneliness? And what daily tasks do we want to focus on?

After the presentation we sat and tried to distill the HMW together with Noa and came out with the following points to think about:

How to empower the old man to handle daily tasks by himself

You have to think about how today elders solve the issue of helplessness - if they call the child, consult with people. Maybe we should focus on bigger problems?

We need to formulate a problem that is formulated as a case that can help us deal with it

Here too we tried to check if it is related to helplessness, dependence or perhaps loneliness.

And also regarding the "tasks" - are these bureaucratic actions on digital platforms? Is there a technological gap or a gap in helplessness?

After small refinements we decided that our HMW is - how to empower the old man to deal with daily digital tasks?

With the idea that we want to give him the feeling of security and ability.

And as in every ending, some tasks we wrote down for ourselves:

* Talk to Boaz and schedule a conversation with him

* Close the HMW

* Divide the existing solutions we found into the graph whose axes are - technological or non-technological + by himself or with the help of someone else.

* Divide the quotes by death.

We didn't capture the presentation, but at least I photographed Liel :)
