Thursday - January 18th
On Thursday we met for a short talk with Prof. Boaz Ben David in an attempt to continue focusing our research field.
We talked mainly about elders and technology and Boaz straight up asked us about how we think it is possible to give elders the feeling that they are more dignified.
For example - even in a war situation like today, there are simple actions that elders can do to feel more meaningful, to contribute, to help, to pack and in other words to regain their sense of control.
He gave a number of names of organizations such as "באים לטוב", Aging.il and Skeels that deal with the employment of old people and encourage them to work.
From the conversation with Prof. Boaz, we realized that we need to focus on the experience of the old man in that he is significant, contributing, essential and remove the feeling of "belittle" he is in.
